AI Chat - Your Intelligent Companion

The AI Chat is a powerful companion available in all documents throughout Storywise. It’s not just for asking questions - you can interact with all available features in Storywise through a natural chat interface. Create stories, modify them, move them around, check for duplicates, and much more, all through conversation.

The AI Chat is available in every document in Storywise, providing you with a conversational interface to interact with all features. Whether you need to ask questions, create content, reorganize your requirements, or analyze your project, the AI Chat is your go-to companion.

Key Capabilities

Content Creation & Modification

Create and Edit Stories

  • Create new stories by describing what you need in natural language - the AI will generate complete stories with descriptions and acceptance criteria
  • Modify existing stories - ask the AI to update story descriptions, acceptance criteria, or other properties
  • Move stories around - reorganize your epics, features, and releases by simply telling the AI where to move them
  • Add stories to features or releases - assign stories to specific features or releases
  • Link stories together - create relationships between stories through conversation
  • Describe story links - ask the AI to explain in text which stories are linked and why, providing clear documentation of relationships

Quality Assurance

Analyze and Improve Your Requirements

  • Check for duplication - ask the AI to identify duplicate or similar stories
  • Grade acceptance criteria - get AI feedback on the quality of your acceptance criteria
  • Validate functionality - drop in text and ask if all functionality is covered
  • Review completeness - ensure nothing is missing from your requirements
  • Generate test scenarios - create test scenarios in Gherkin format (Given-When-Then) or any grammar you prefer

Getting Started with AI Chat

  1. Open any document in Storywise
  2. Access the AI Chat - the chat interface is available throughout the document
  3. Start a conversation - ask questions or give commands in natural language
  4. Review changes - the AI will show you what it’s doing and ask for confirmation before making changes

  • The AI will transcribe and understand your commands - if you want, you can edit it before sending
  • Perfect for quick interactions and adaptions while reviewing documents

Best Practices

Making the Most of AI Chat

  • Be specific - the more context you provide, the better the AI can help (Reference stories by their ID or title when making specific changes)
  • Review changes - always review what the AI proposes before confirming
  • Leverage context - the AI understands your document structure, so reference specific items when needed

AI Instructions

The AI Chat automatically follows your organization’s and project’s AI Instructions. These instructions tell the AI how your company writes user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, ensuring consistent output that matches your standards.

  • Organization-level settings - Define company-wide writing styles and conventions
  • Project-level overrides - Provide project-specific context (e.g., “This is an offline project”)
  • Automatic application - All AI Chat interactions follow your instructions automatically
  • Consistent output - The AI uses your naming conventions and writing formats
