AI Tokens

AI tokens are a way to track the usage of AI in Storywise. They are used to track the usage of AI in the system, and to limit the usage of AI in the system.

Why do they exist?

The main reason for using AI tokens is to limit our expenses. Frankly, we don’t want to go out of business because of a single user who accidentally or intentionally uses a lot of tokens. Therefore, please see them as fair use - if you need more because of your way of working, or even worse, lost tokens because of a bug, please contact us.

How do they work?

Every time you use AI, you use AI tokens. The tokens are really just a guess from our side at the moment, but we try to estimate the tokens used based on the complexity of the request.

How do I get more?

Currently, you can only get more tokens by contacting us. However, you can always use your own AI endpoint, if you want to. If you have a custom endpoint, you can use it by setting it in the AI settings. If you do, we do not charge you for the tokens used at all.
